Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital Partners with Buckner Children’s Village to Provide Christmas for Children in Community

BEAUMONT – (December 4, 2006) – Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital is proud to partner with Buckner Children’s Village and Family Services for our Annual Christmas Celebration.  A reception for the children will be held on Monday, December 4, 2006, at 5:00pm in the Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital’s Terrace Café. “The employees of Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital anticipate this event each year,” said Mary Poole, Marketing Director. “They look forward to making a difference in the lives of these special children.” 

 “Year after year, the children of Buckners anxiously anticipate the spectacular Christmas Celebration. Not only do they have a wonderful time, receive a Christmas gift and meal, but they are embraced and loved by the employees who spend quality time with them. “Thank you so much for sharing the love of Christ with 129 children in our care, instead of flooding the lawn and building with lights.  Your generous efforts are a beautiful reminder that Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospitals and their employees put the very heart of Christ – His children, before anything else,” explained Michelle Harris, Administrator for Buckner Children’s Village.

This Christmas season, Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital employees will participate in the Buckner Children’s Village Christmas Celebration and many other community holiday events in lieu of our hospital lighting.  “Each one of us possess a very special gift that we can share during the holidays…that gift is the gift of giving,” Poole stated.
