Memorial Hermann Welcomes Students for National Groundhog Shadowing Day

BEAUMONT – (February 2, 2007) – Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital will be participating in the National Groundhog Shadowing Day.  This Region V sponsored program will take place from 9:00am – 12:30pm.  National Groundhog Shadowing Day is a school-to-work program that allows students representing high schools within Region V the opportunity to “shadow” healthcare professionals at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital.  The students will have a brief introduction to the Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital, a tour of the facility, a rewarding shadowing opportunity and a pizza party with representatives from various departments.  This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase an initiative that engages students in the world of work, while fostering relationships between young people and caring adults.
