In response to the need for additional cardiac care services to our community, Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital offers three Cardiac Catheterization Labs.  Services offered include a full range of diagnostic and interventional treatment options including heart catheterizations, coronary and peripheral arteriography, coronary and peripheral angioplasty, coronary and peripheral stent placement including drug eluting stents, coronary and peripheral thrombolysis, carotid artery stenting, atherectomy, permanent pacemaker implantation, permanent internal cardiac defibrillator implantation, and temporary pacemaker insertions.  We offer a full range of special procedure services including radiofrequency tumor ablation, dialysis catheter placement, TIPS procedure, embolization of bleeds, and uterine fibroid embolization.

All labs are equipped with digital technology to aid physicians with the detection of abnormalities within the heart and arteries. Procedures are performed by a certified staff in partnership with sixteen specially trained and credentialed Cardiologists, two Interventional Radiologists and two Vascular Surgeons who have all been approved to perform procedures in the Cath Lab.  For more information, please call (409) 212-7270.

Cardiac Rehabilitation is available to patients while in the hospital and after discharge on an outpatient basis.  The Cardiac Rehab Program is coordinated by a Registered Nurse (RN) who has specialized training in cardiovascular health and rehabilitation.  All phases of Cardiac Rehab are provided in a safe and monitored environment under the direction of a licensed physician.  This program is designed to assist cardiac patients in attaining optimal cardiovascular health and fitness.  The program focuses on patients who have experienced a heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery or those with stable angina.  Our program assists patients in reducing or modifying risk factors contributing to coronary artery disease while promoting improved self image, emotional well being and confidence through education and exercise.  Our Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is flexible and adaptable to each individuals’ need and limitation.  Through outpatient cardiac rehabilitation, individuals can experience an improved quality of life while reducing risks associated with cardiovascular disease.  For more information, please call (409) 212-5870.

Most people think they know about strokes.  But too often, they don’t know enough.  Like, stroke is not just an older person’s illness; it can strike people of all ages.  In fact, it is the third leading cause of death in the U.S.  That is why Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospitals have adopted StrokeSense, a program developed by leading community hospitals and their affiliated physicians nationwide, to help educate our community about strokes and help you recognize the risk factors.  Our StrokeSense program has been nationally recognized at Top 100 Programs in the United States.

Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital’s Emergency Services Department has implemented a Heart Response Program.  This allows life saving care for victims of heart attack to begin receiving treatment before the EMS arrive at the hospital.  When minutes make a difference, the ability to receive EKGs from the field saves precious time and precious loved ones.
