The Senior Care Unit of Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital specializes in the area of Geriatric Psychiatry. The treatment philosophy of the unit was developed to assist the older population and their families understand and learn to cope with mental health issues that affect the elderly due to the aging process. We specialize in the treatment of all areas of mental health including:

Our experienced treatment team of professionals is led by a psychiatrist, who is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Nephrology in geriatric psychiatry. The geriatric psychiatrist is supported by a group of healthcare providers – nurses, social workers and technicians – who are highly trained in both psychiatric disorders and medical conditions. Medical doctors are available to assess any additional medical problems the patient may have. We are available around the clock to answer questions and help individuals, families, physicians and other agencies determine if there is a need for our services. We can be reached at (409) 212-7800.
